Description

Useful when melting down scrap lead, emptying your furnace, or when blending alloys.

The Lyman Ingot Mould produces four, easy to use ingots that stack easily and weigh approximately 1 pound each.
The sides of the mould have a 30° draft for easy ejection of the ingots.

Instructions

Handle:
The ingot mould is supplied with a wooden handle wich must be securely attached before use.
To attach the handle, stand the ingot mould on it's fornt edge with the handle shaft in a vertical direction.
The ingot mould should rest on a solid surface.
Hold the handle on the end of the handle shaft and tap the handle over the shaft with a hammer.
The handle must be firmly attached to the shaft and should be driven approximately 3.5 centimeter onto the shaft.

Casting:
Pour the molten alloy into each section of the ingot mould using a casting dipper or the bottom pout feature of the casting furnace.
Allow the alloy to completely solidify before attempting to remove the ingots.
To remove the ingots, tap the front edge on the ingot mould on a solid heat resistant surface.
The ingots will drop out of the mould and onto this surface.
Allow the ingots plenty of time to cool before touching them.
